Rankings
General Knowledge
There are multiple means of ranking or recognizing how much more powerful one person is over the other, whether it be through their magical capability, or a mix of that with political and/or social connections. It is up to the leaders or, in situations that are dependent on strength, the groups in how far one rises in power.Court Rankings

Be'tial Clan Hierarchy
In be'tial groups, such as packs or clans, the ranking is determined by level of dominance and will. An alpha doesn't necessarily have to be the strongest in the group to be the alpha, they just have to have enough dominance, will, and ability to lead. They also must keep hold of their spot when it comes to challenges, as a position can always be challenged. Here are some possible positions in the hierarchy:Category | Ranking | Description |
Dominant | Alpha | The most dominant in their respective group, the alpha is charged with leading their pack/clan. They create the laws of the group, protect it, and provide for it. |
Beta | A beta is the second most powerful rank in a group or pack. They enforce commands / orders while also caring for the pack or group while the Alpha is away or unavailable. The Beta will be the first to challenge an Alpha if they sense weakness and they aren't loyal to them 100%. If the Alpha is killed or they step down, the Beta will take up the mantle unless or until challenged for the position.
Dominants | They are the strongest, swiftest, most protective of the group or pack next to the Alpha and Beta. Despite their strength, they still are considered followers in the group or pack.
Submissives | Delta | While not completely submissive, they are lower in dominance than those deemed true dominants. They hunt with the other dominants as well as provide security for the group. |
Omega | This rank belongs to the most submissive members of the group. They are the official caretakers, providing healing, meals, and education.
Unaligned | Loner | These are be’tial who are unaligned by choice. They can be alphas that don’t want to lead a / submit to a group. Unfortunately, they are not covered by the Fae-Be’tial deals, so they are often targets for enslavement. |
Rogue | Banished from their group, rogues are often known as criminals. Few exceptions apply, as some have been banished simply for being considered a threat to leadership, being disliked by leadership, etcetera. Mostly, though, they’ve gone against leadership for good or bad reasons. Like loners, they are not covered by the Fae deals, thus they can be enslaved if caught. |
