Description
Humanoid Form (Disguised)
When ordered to go into the Earthern Realm to accomplish certain tasks, Tirael's Ring of Glamour transforms him into a male of 6ft height with short, black hair and turqoise-colored eyes. His outfit is made up of a black jacket, white shirt, dark-colored jeans, and a pair of black reboks. His collar and ring do not carry over to this appearance and, instead, are invisible to the non-magical eye. Those who can see past glamour will see him in his undisguised form. (Pic: Click Here )Humanoid Form (Undisguised)
Tirael is one of the rare breeds of lupir’an, resembling the Earth stories of a kitsune. He is still close to 6ft of height, if not a little taller due to his be’tial characteristics. His most defining features are the ears standing erect atop his head, his long, turquoise-colored hair, his light blue eyes, and his turquoise tail(s). The tail is his most deceptive, as when he uses fire, a mirage of sorts multiplies its number, resulting in the nine-tailed kitsune of earthen legends. Further identifiers would be the tribal tattoo marked on his right shoulder and the deactivated slave collar latched around his neck. Otherwise, he dresses in the typical fashion of the denizens of Faerie, though keeps to neutral colors.Animal Form
In his animal form, he resembles a fox the size of an Earthern realm wolf, though his coloring is made up of shades of turqoise. When he’s using his elemental control over blue fire, makes the single tail appear as nine.Personality
Tiras has developed a sort of... tough demeanor to deal with his life as a loner. Any sign of emotion was ammo that was better not used against him when it came to the fae; thus, he often pretends disinterest, coldness, or dismissiveness. He had even given into a sort of numbness during his time as a loner, making the façade more genuine. In short, he does his hardest to pretend he doesn’t care, but it isn’t completely true.He is an alpha by nature, though he has grown to appreciate solitude more than the idea of creating a pack. Plus, no one would want to join (in his opinion) even if he did consider that option. As a result, if he comes across the rare loner be'tial who has either been abandoned or is a lone survivor, he offers assistance for the slightest bit of companionship before letting them go to survive alone.
Pickiness is a trait Tiras tries to curtail. At one point in time, he had been choosey about things – what he liked to eat, wear, etcetera. While he’s still choosey about what he wears, he has since gotten into the habit of surviving on anything edible or any place that provides shelter. So, in the instance he is assisting someone, they get the choice to either deal with it or do their own thing. Hopefully they know what they’re doing when they do their own thing.
History
This is intentionally left blank. Below this post are current attempts to figure out a suitable history that results in him being stoic, a natural survivalist, and an unintentional leader. Key historic points:- Potentially he was born either a slave or a pampered child?
- Eventually, he was sold to a master unlike most others. The difference: this master was fair and non-abusive of the slaves he kept. Indeed, the only reason he had slaves to begin with was to keep an image among the wealthy at his family's (who are closely tied / connected with slavers) behest. Due to this, Tiras was able to present a deal to his master that would enable his freedom. This deal required that Tiras find (a) suitable replacement(s) that would be just as good to show off, if not better, to those his master needed to maintain his image to the wealthy.
- Point here.
- After wandering for a good many years, he stumbles upon another lupir'an be'tial, a child by the name of Seth. As the kid was in need, due to his sad state, Tiras took it upon himself to teach the kid the basics of survival as a loner. Unfortunately, when Tiras attempted to break ties with Seth to return to his isolated ways, it failed. Instead, Seth continues (to this day) to follow Tiras, making them a two-for-one special.
Family & Friends
Currently, his family is deceased, and he has no friends.ATTEMPTED (NON-OFFICIAL) HISTORY:
When he reached the age of 16, the ‘choosing’ came, the 100-year tradition that entitled the fae to choose several be’tial males for drafting in their service. Tiras, of course, was one of the few selected. Considered an honor among his pack, he served with loyalty. Unfortunately, his service was met with betrayal. Among his group, a fae that sold comrades to slave traders on the sly had set up a false emergency, which led to Tiras and a few others being collared and sold.
Fortunately for him, his master was quite fair, requiring work done properly in exchange for a decent living as a slave. Despite this, a be’tial does not do well enslaved. Thus, when the time was right, Tiras proposed an offer: his freedom for 5 replacements.
Years of dedicated searching interspersed with his duties as a slave, he managed to succeed in capturing 5 replacements – criminals of all sorts, enslaved as penance. Since the fae are more likely to turn on themselves than help (unless something was in it for them), it also wasn’t hard to lure his deceitful ex-comrade into his trap, resulting in his enslavement as well. With this accomplished, his master fulfilled his end of the bargain and, as a result, Tiras’ collar was deactivated and enchanted by a magi not to be tampered with or reactivated.
Free, he tried to return to his post within the service of the fae, only to be rejected after almost being taken captive again (a failed attempt). The other option, his birth pack, also rejected him from fear that a previous slave might lead to loopholes with the fae-be’tial agreements in place.
This led to Tiras becoming a loner, a wanderer who belonged nowhere. He grew used to the solitude, growing a tough and bitter exterior in place of his previously open demeanor. It was better, in his opinion, to trust in himself and only himself. Much to his exasperation, however, once he crossed paths with a be’tial pup… his solitude went out the window.
